Stephen Steyn

Born in 1973 into an environmentally conscious family, Stephen holds a National Diploma in Landscape Technology. After graduating he worked throughout the continent of Africa on environmental rehabilitation and restoration projects, and was appointed director of Hydromulch East Africa Pty Ltd.  After travelling for four years, he returned to South Africa and re-entered the green industry in Johannesburg where he headed the Landscape Maintenance department for Ekslusiewe Tuine CC.  So as to satisfy a burning ambition to own his own company, he, together with his brother Bevil Steyn, set up their own company, Cape Contours Landscapes in 2006, to take advantage of a niche market in the landscape industry in the Western Cape.

Bevil Steyn

Bevil did his studies at Saasveld Forestry College and qualified with his National Diploma in Forestry. He then spent 7 years working as a forestry contractor in Zululand where his botanical knowledge developed. After travelling for 8 years, he retuned to his home country and together with Stephen, the launched the company, which continues to grow under his guidance and close involvement.

Nolusindiso Daniso

Nolusindiso’s Human Recourses background in various environments has built up her strong administrative drive and excellent organisational skills. In her capacity as Director and Member of Cape Contours, she is involved on a strategic level, and also heads up our corporate marketing efforts and tendering department. With this Nolusindiso hopes to bring scalable structure to a rapidly growing Cape Contours.

Sean O’Connor

Landscape Designer

(H. Dip Interior Architecture & Architectural Draughting)

Sean spent 3 years studying design, after which he has continuously worked within the industry. He redesigned MCG Industries office block, working as a freelance designer, after which he worked as a designer for Gregory Mann Architects. Sean’s diligence, attention to detail and fine designing creates the perfect asset to our team.

Julia Budden

Landscape Designer

(BA; H. Dip HR; H. Dip Landscape Design)

Julia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & HR and changed careers into Landscaping in 2006 after studying her diploma in Landscape Design while living in Australia. She spent a year working as a junior in a Landscape Architecture consultancy in Brisbane and then returned home to Cape Town where she has since worked within the residential and commercial landscaping industry. She has developed a very good working knowledge of waterwise plants indigenous to the Cape and continues to create cost effective, functional and beautiful gardens for our clients.

Ronél Pruis

Office Manager/Administrator & Graphic Designer

(BA; H. Dip Integrated Marketing Comm & Graphic and Advertising Design)

Ronel joined Cape Contours a little over year ago as an Office Administrator and has quickly proved her worth way beyond her title. With her skills and past work experience, she ensures that our office runs smoothly on a day to day basis. With her diploma in Graphic & Advertising Design, degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and keen interest in Landscape Design, she is also assisting the Design and Marketing teams with more creative projects and is currently under tutorship in Landscape Design.
